Residents encouraged to vote in Council Elections

Information

The Borough Council elections will be held on Thursday, 4th of May. The elections give voters the opportunity to elect their local council representatives for the next four years. It is vitally important that those residents able to vote do so.

All British, Irish, Commonwealth and European Union* citizens living in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, aged 18 or older on the 4th of May 2006 are eligible to vote. To be able to vote they must have also registered to vote with Electoral Services before the 13th of Match. Registered voters will receive their ballot papers prior to the election date.

The polling station closest to the estate is located in Ashburnham Primary School. Voting will take place between the hours of 7am and 10pm. The counting of votes will begin at 10pm. The results will be announced live on television, as well as published on teletext, the national press and on the Council’s website.

All three major political parties - Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat - have candidates standing for election in the Cremorne Ward in which the estate is located.
