The World's End Estate

Leader of the Council kicks off Piazza Works

Major Works

Cllr. Merrick Cockell, the leader of the Council, ceremoniously kicked off the works to redevelop World's End Piazza and World's End Place at a special inauguration event held on the World's End Piazza on the afternoon of Thursday, 29th of June.

The works include the re-landscaping and re-surfacing of the entirety of the World's End Piazza and much of World's End Place and the installation of a new floor surface, lighting improvements and the planting of new trees. It is hoped the works will provide the estate with a much more pleasant frontage on to the Kings Road.

Work on the site is expected to begin on the 10th of July. The works are expected to be complete before the end of the year.

Cllr. Cockell also took the opportunity to announce the forthcoming conversion of the currently disused Piazza toilets into office space for use by the Police's Cremorne and Stanley Ward teams.
