The World's End Estate

Estate to be Partitioned

Major Works

The new proposed security system for the estate includes a plan to "zone" or "partition" the estate through the installation of security doors in the estate's walkways.

Zoning the estate would transform it from a single, huge and unmanageable building into several smaller self-contained groups (or blocks) of dwellings that would prove more manageable and easier to secure.

Zoning will however require the co-operation of all of the estate's leaseholders who will need to agree to the proposal and allow their leases to be varied. The Council will be writing to all of the estate's leaseholders in the near future asking them whether they would be prepared to agree to the proposed zoning of the estate or not. The result of this survey will allow the Council to determine whether to include zoning in the new security scheme.

It is essential that all leaseholders respond to this letter as quickly as possible, indicating whether they would accept the proposed zoning of the estate or reject it.

The World's End Residents Association believes that zoning is essential to the improvement of security on the estate and urges all leaseholders to respond to the letter as quickly as possible and indicate that they are prepared to accept the proposed zoning of the estate and allow their leases to be varied.
