The World's End Estate

Have your say on Crossrail 2

Information

Transport for London (TfL) is currently developing plans for a Crossrail 2 station in Chelsea.

TfL had planned to locate the station on the Kings Road, near the Fire Station. The Council has asked TfL to investigate the possibility of locating the station on the Cremorne Estate instead. The Council intends to make use of the Crossrail 2 station to "regenerate" the estate.

The construction of a Crossrail 2 station on the Cremorne Estate will require the partial or complete demolition of the estate.

The residents of the estate will be displaced. Tenants will have to move. Leaseholders will be bought out.

The parade of shops along the Kings Road, from the Riley's Pub to the computer shop at the other end, will be lost, many never to return.

A huge building site will occupy the site for many years and cause disruption to much of the local area.

TfL are running consultation "drop-ins" from the Chelsea Theatre and Chelsea Old Town Hall, as follows:

Chelsea Theatre - Studio 2
7 World's End Place, King's Road, London SW10 0DR

• Friday 20 June, 10am-4pm
• Friday 27June, 2pm-8pm.

Chelsea Old Town Hall - Small Hall
King's Road, London, SW3 5EE

• Friday 11 July, 2pm-8pm
• Saturday 12 July, 10am-4pm.

Residents are encouraged to attend the consultation to discuss the proposals with TfL.
