The World's End Estate

Fire Safety Update

Estate Management

Following the terrible tragedy at Grenfell Tower on the Lancaster West Estate the Committee of the World's End Residents Association (WERA) has been actively pursuing a number of issues in relation to fire safety on the estate.

The Committee has:

  • Answered any queries and questions it has received from residents to the best of its ability.
  • Met with Ward Councillors to discuss long-standing issues and concerns with regards to fire safety on the estate.
  • Asked Ward Councillors to help ensure that residents are given access to the results of the Fire Safety Assessment of the estate ordered by central government.
  • Carried out a visual inspection of all seven tower blocks, documented any issues and forwarded the list of issues to the TMO for resolution.
  • Been in contact with Ward Councillors and the Fire Brigade to try and organise a public meeting for residents. The meeting will take place later this summer.

If you have any queries with regards to fire safety on the estate, or with regards to any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact the Residents Association. You can email the Residents Association at: wera@worlds-end.org.uk.

Further information will be posted on the estate’s website - https://www.worlds-end.org.uk/ - as it becomes available.
