WEMO Ballot Result

WEMO

The result of the ballot of the estate's residents on whether they wished to proceed with the right-to-manage bid of the World's End Management Organisation has been received from Electoral Reform Services.

The results are as follows:

Tenants
Total number of eligible tenants: 612
Total number of ballot papers received: 167
Overall rate of participation: 27.3%
Total number of spoilt/blank ballot papers: 1
Therefore, total number of valid votes counted: 166
Number voting YES: 113 (68.1%)
Number voting NO: 53 (31.9%)

Leaseholders
Total number of eligible leaseholders: 226
Total number of ballot papers received: 82
Overall rate of participation: 36.3%
Total number of spoilt/blank ballot papers: 0
Therefore, total number of valid votes counted: 82
Number voting YES: 75 (91.5%)
Number voting NO: 7 (8.5%)

The overall rate of participation was of 29.7%.

The percentage of eligible voters voting in favour of the proposal was of 22.5%.

The percentage of eligible voters voting against the proposal was of 7.2%.

The World's End Management Organisation cannot therefore enter into a management agreement with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as it has not achieved the level of support required by the right-to-manage regulations: that over 50% of the eligible voters vote in favour of the bid.
